Bramerton - We enjoyed this very unique build, we took the clients (Donna) dream of an eco timber framed extension & the architects vision providing her with open planned kitchen/diner, large bedroom with ensuite & another bathroom & made it a reality with a lot of hardwork and skilled tradesmen. Major groundwork’s that you’ll never see as it was built on a hill with a drop of 1.5 mtrs to the side, we then installed timber JJI beams for floor joists & exterior walls, these in turn then had warmcell cellulose (recycled paper) pumped in all cavities. We handmade on site 3 spruce timber A-frames with purlins and hand cut roof on. The client always had her heart set on American cedar ship lap cladding, with the different shades of grain you can see why. We then installed a Swedish galvanised steel guttering called Lindab which is the most sustainable gutter system around. Anthracite grey aluminium windows and doors installed finished the look of the exterior off perfectly. We fitted out the interiors of both bathrooms to the clients spec, installed electric skylights to each of the bathrooms. Finished off with a new raised driveway using timber sleepers creating a retaining wall. Donna (the client) was extremely happy & grateful for all the hard work, attention to detail & her dream home made a reality. Which makes us very happy builders indeed.
